XBox Music Pass - when can we stream downloaded content using DLNA?

Not so long ago I could stream downloaded music files (which are protected of course) to my DLNA capable networked Amplifier.  It was awesome but now I can no longer do this, I get an explicit "license not found" on the Amp display.  I think this happened around the time we moved from Windows 8 CP to RTM.

I understand that we have the "play on Xbox" feature but having to fire up the TV, the Amp, the Xbox etc is not really ideal.  Besides, DLNA streaming is quick, simple and simply awesome for my needs.  Do I have an issue with my Amp checking the license OR is this feature not part of the Music Pass permission/right?

I think it's especially important for any "matched" library content that is made available to other devices.  They should have the ability to download and stream music that I own DRM Free (just matched from another device).

Hi,

Seems some DRM protected contents cannot be sent by Play to other than a v2 Media Center Extender like the Xbox 360.

Thanks for the reply.

The conclusion being that we'll never get the flexibility with DRM content?

Think about Play-To on Windows Phone, how awesome would it be for Zune and Xbox subscription users to be able to stream their downloaded content to DLNA receivers. I think I could probably justify buying passes for all members of my household then...  Is anybody else in the community keen to see more interop between content from online services and industry standards on consumer devices?

Is this a problem with Microsoft's implementation or is it not possible generally?
