Workstation certificate template's status unavailable in Windows 7
Hi, The following is the error we get while requesting a certificate through MMC in windows 7 : "the requested property value is empty. the valid CA configured to issue certificates based on this template cannot be located, or CA doesnot support this operation, or the CA is not trusted" We have tested issuing a certificate of workstation authentication template format with windows server 2k3 and certificate request was successfull. However, the above template's status remains unavailable even after setting the proper security permissions. What could be the possible solution?

Hi Juke, Thank you for your reply. Am afraid I couldn't see that AC Log Consumer, when I expanded the COM+ Applications. Is there anyother way to solve this issue? Is there anything like only certain templates work in certain type of Windows OS ? I just need the clarification for the above behaviour, as I have found the following behaviour: Am able to request a certificate with template type being Webserver successfully from Windows7 MMC, but not from Windows2k3 Enterprise Edition ServicePack1. However, I can successfully request a certificate of type Workstation Authentication from Windows2k3 Enterprise Edition ServicePack1, but not from Windows7 as that certificate template doesn't appear in the available templates list. Thanks in Advance.
