WmiPrvSe.exe
It's running with -embedded and -Securred. I think it's a system process and I know I didn't start it.

That is the WMI Provider Service and is part of the operating system. No need to worry.Rich Prescott | Infrastructure Architect, Windows Engineer and PowerShell blogger | MCITP, MCTS, MCP

I know it's part of the operating system. But I'm running another 64 bit windows seven system right beside it and it is not running it. What's happening? I also realize that it is part of the WMI (Windows Management Insrumentation) provider.

Hi,
Maybe certain processes were querying WMI, generally, WMI resides in a shared service host with several other services. To avoid stopping all the services when a
provider fails, providers are loaded into a separate host process named "Wmiprvse.exe".
