Wlan problem
Hi! I`m running Windows Vista Ultimate on a HP Compaq nc6000.Everything has been working well for about 1 month, until a few days ago when the wlan stopped working. No wireless networks is shown, when I press the refresh-button it doesn`t seem to search at all. I`ve tried to reinstall the driver for the nic (HP WLAN b/g 400). Today I replaced it with a brand new NIC with the same specification, so it shouldn`t be a hw-related problem. Any idea what could have happened and what to try? Edit:This is what I see in the system-log; Log Name: SystemSource: pcmciaDate: 03.01.2007 00:58:52Event ID: 10Task Category: NoneLevel: ErrorKeywords: ClassicUser: N/AComputer: laptopDescription:The PCMCIA controller encountered an error reading the device configuration data.Event Xml:<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="pcmcia" /> <EventID Qualifiers="49158">10</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>0</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2007-01-02T23:58:52.282Z" /> <EventRecordID>767805</EventRecordID> <Channel>System</Channel> <Computer>laptop</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data> </Data> <Binary>0000040001000000000000000A0006C001000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000</Binary> </EventData></Event>
