Wireless network fails after Standby on Win7 x64
I have a HP Mobile Workstation 8730W with an Intel WIFI Link 530AGN network adapter. If my computer goes into stanby I am unable to start wireless network. It seems that the driver doesnt start correctly.. In Network Adapters it says that the device is diabled, and I am not able to enable it. This did not occur on the earlier builds, but started after I installed the public beta build.Does anyone have similar issues ?

I had the same issue with a HP Dv6809wm.Finnaly got it working after installing the divers from HP's web site for this Atheros AR5009.Device manager used to list two drivers, one from MS and one from Atheros for the wireless adapter, and the light always stayed amber, now there is only on driver listed, and it is from Atheros, version number 7.6.0.114 and the light turns blue! Also I unchecked the "allow the computer to turn off this device" on the Power Management tab in device manager.Hope mthis helps, as I hated not being able to let the laptop go into standby!

You will probably need a better wireless device driver for Win7. It's pretty early in the beta to expect all devices to have a driver.Rating posts helps other users Mark L. Ferguson MS-MVP

I have a Dlink DWL G510 and have had the same problem since Vista - worked on XP. I have tried every driver update since then but the situation has never improved. this makes Standyby pretty usless because I have to reboot every time I use Standby. I will not buy a new wireless adaptor because I cannot be sure that this will fix the problem. the problem could be the OS or the adaptor.
