Wireless network doesn't always connect automatically.
When starting my Compaq laptop, I usually get a message that my "Wireless network is not connected. Right click here for more options". When I click and view available wireless networks I have to go to Wireless Network Connections > change advanced settings > and on the wireless network tab I check "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings" and click OK. I have to do this almost everytime I want to use the internet. Why isn't there a more permanent solution???1 person needs an answerI do too

HiThat means that the Wireless card's drivers installed the Vendor's Wireless Utility at StartUp, and it shut off the Windows native Utility (WZC).Or, the WZC utility is Not set to Start Auto.First check the StartUp Folder, if there is an entry for 3rd party Wireless utility take it out.Otherwise, http://www.ezlan.net/wzc.htmlIn general. My Wireless does not work - http://www.ezlan.net/wireless.htmlWireless Basic Configuration - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Config.htmlWireless Security - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Security.html Jack-MVP Windows Networking.
