Wireless internet won't stay connected since new hard drive and XP upgrade.
I recently had a new hard drive installed on my Insprion 6000. At the same time, XP Pro was installed instead of the original XP Home. Since then my wireless (2WIRE router) doesn't connect consistently. It is not connecting at startup in the morning and disconnects later in the day. At first it seemed to coincide with automatic updated being installed, but appears to be more random now. I have another laptop with Win 7 that connects consistenty. Wireless Zero config is set to automatic and shows started. I have to stop it, start it and re-boot to connect (ISP suggestion). Even then it will disconnect and reconnect several times during the day. Before new installation it connected great.1 person needs an answerI do too

Did you install drivers with your Dell drivers disk, or did you rely on winupdate?

I didn't do the hard drive install, so I don't know what was done.
