Wireless internet disconnects randomly on my laptop.
I have a Dell laptop purchased in 2006. It has XP with SP3. I have a wireless network set up in my home so that I can wireless access the internet anywhere in it. When using my laptop, at times I will be on a website, and the next one I try to go to will not load, and then it will say that the page is not found because I have lost connection. At this point, I can disconnect from the network, and then reconnect to it, and the internet will work fine until the next time this happens. No other laptops or devices in my home lose connection like this. I found some suggestions online to disable the Wireless Zero, and I tried that for awhile. When I did that, at random times just like before, a different wireless symbol would pop up in the task bar (Intel ProWireless I believe) telling me that it lost the connection. With WZ turned off, I can't look for a network, so I can't disconnect and reconnect. Several minutes later, it will come back at full strength. This happens often, and completely randomly like it did before. Is there another feature I should disable or enable? I have all kinds of specs but I don't know which to post. Please help!1 person needs an answerI do too
