Wireless connection unavailable at logon
We have mobile labs at our school that sometimes do not offer the wireless connection when logging on. If we log on with a cached user and log back off, the wireless is available again. The network is set as the preferred wireless network and the radio is active. Any ideas? This problem seem intermittent but is quickly becoming a nuisance.

Hi, Could you search for the wireless signal when the issue occurs? The issue seems not related with Windows system, but the wireless router itself. I suggest to update the wireless card driver to the latest version, and temporary disable firewall for test. It isn't possible to search for the wireless on the laptops that are showing problems since you can't log on with a new profile. You can only log on with cached profiles which show the wireless networks and will connect once you are in Windows. The problem is once again that the wireless doesn't seem to be available or connect before a login. We too have thought maybe a wireless driver problem but the problem is too widespread and intermittent. It is happening on multiple types of laptops and tablets. Possibly a problem with the Aruba wireless controllers?

Hi, If the issue occurs with multiple machines, the problem may not related with system operation or wireless card itself, but may caused by the wireless router. I suggest to contact wireless router manufacturer to check if the configuration is correct.
