Wireless connection dropping with 1014 Error DNS Client Events
I have read all of the posts about this problem, but to no resolve. I have tried so many fixes and just got no-where. Currently at 154 1014 DNS client events in the past 7 days. So you can see how much my connection is dropping. My mac works fine on the wireless but the wireless is dropping like crazy on my pc, but it still seems to think it is connected, though sometimes it gets the warning triangle, which when i troubleshoot i get no-where. Help please

Hi delined, Thanks for the post! I recommend you update the wireless card driver to the latest one then check if the issue persists. Meanwhile, when you lose the wireless connection, try to use the troubleshooter to diagnose and repair the issue. This did not fix the problem. And when there is a problem thw troubleshooter doesn't achieve anything. But i have managed to cut down the problem. On a fresh install i had the problem often. I install AVG, problem persisted, i uninstalled it and this seemed to help the problem abit (1014s still happen). And i messed around with the router settings, i'm not sure if this fixed it or not but the 1014s have decreased, though the other day i got 150 of them within about 2 hours.

It seems that if i have my router set to be mixed speed, i will get the 1014 error alot, im currently on 350 in the last 7 days (most of these came from about 1 day). Can windows not deal with the change in speeds?
