Wireless connected but can't access the internet
My boyfriend's computer is having problems with internet connection - it can connect to the internet via wireless, but nothing that connects to the internet works (browsers, msn, etc). The internet works fine with a wired connection. Another computer in the same spot connects to the wireless fine and can access the internet normally. Here is the ipconfig /all: Windows IP Configuration Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : multi-vac Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . : Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : No DNS Suffix Search List. . . . . . : Camp_Kern Wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection 2: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Camp_Kern Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Ralink RT61 Turbo Wireless LAN Card Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-1A-EF-05-DD-2F DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes IPv6 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 2002:ac10:c5a:1234:e910:9c9d:6347:4942(Pr eferred) Temporary IPv6 Address. . . . . . : 2002:ac10:c5a:1234:48a6:8143:134b:ad99(Pr eferred) Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::e910:9c9d:6347:4942%14(Preferred) IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.8(Preferred) Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . : Wednesday, June 17, 2009 10:51:06 PM Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . : Wednesday, June 24, 2009 10:51:06 PM Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : fe80::222:75ff:fe24:c62c%14 192.168.2.1 DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.1 DHCPv6 IAID . . . . . . . . . . . : 318773999 DHCPv6 Client DUID. . . . . . . . : 00-01-00-01-10-8A-4D-5A-00-18-8B-5E-65-7E DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.1 192.168.2.1 NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Enabled Tunnel adapter Local Area Connection* 9: Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Camp_Kern Description . . . . . . . . . . . : isatap.Camp_Kern Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-E0 DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes Tunnel adapter Local Area Connection* 10: Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 02-00-54-55-4E-01 DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes Also, ping google.com ends with 4 (100%) lost packets. I can't access 192.168.1.1 (or .0.1 or .2.1). As far as I'm aware there aren't any firewalls up that are blocking access. Privoxy was installed but then uninstalled, threatfire is installed (but I disabled it and internet still does not work). I have also tried netnh int ip reset reset.log and netsh winsock reset catalog and neither had any effect. It is a Dell desktop with Vista, I don't have access to the computer at the moment, but I can post the model of the computer, wireless card, and router later today. Wireless card was recently replaced, but this problem existed even with 2 different PCI cards. If anyone could help with this problem it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I agree with Carlos. Please remove the driver first, then download the latest driver from Internet and install it. When installing, I suggest that you temporary disable the anti-virus and firewall. Also please delete the wireless connection, and re-create it. If the issue persists, please let us know if the Internet connection works when you keep the anti-virus and firewall disabled.Arthur Xie - MSFT

helo,as yuio presented your network configuration, i see yhat's all works normally, the wireless network if good, the wireless card status is ok, TCP/IP configuration appears good, what de you have exactly is naviagtion issue, i mean that you're unable to access to internet, maybe firewall is the source of concern, if not try disable any antivirus installed in, if all fails try to restore your systeme backcheers,
