Wireless and MMOs (WoW to be specific)
Alright so I put a thread in the WoW Tech Support forum with this same topic. I did a little research and found out that Vista has something in it that while you're using a wireless connection it automatically disconnects you every couple of minutes to search for faster ports or something along those lines. This is well and good during surfing the web and it's not noticeable checking your email/streaming youtube etc. But when you play an MMO like World of Warcraft, every couple of minutes you disconnect which causes a lot of problems in an ongoing game.I went and installed something called the WLAN Optimizer and I still get disconnected every couple of minutes doing Arenas or Battlegrounds or anything involving people from another server, and myself being a PvP oriented kind of guy that's all I do. There has to be some kind of way I can disable this "feature" Vista so willingly decided to shove down my throat because I am after all paying $15 a month for my subscription to play WoW.My wireless connection is also a good one, it has great latency and can download things upwards of 700kbps. I would appreciate some help with this because I do enjoy playing WoW, but I want to break this laptop every time my arena team takes another loss on account of me disconnecting. If anybody has any information regarding this subject, please send me an email:stealnotkill@hotmail.comordurinsm@gmail.com
