Hello, Your description of the problem is very vague. First, check whether the signal strength is good, if it's low, you may be too far, have interference or have an antennae problem. Next, you should determine whether the problem is in the router or wireless adapter. To do this, take your PC to a friend's house and test. If the problem persists there, then the problem lies in the PC or the wireless adapter. If the problem does not persist, then the problem is in the router. If the PC or wireless adapter 1. Check that conenctions are tight (if its a USB wireless stick) 2. update the drivers to the latest version 3. Check mfg site to make sure it's Win7 compatible. If it's the router 1. Check the antenna connections 2. flash the firmware to the latest versionMiguel Fra / Falcon IT Services Computer & Network Support, Miami, FL Visit our Knowledgebase and Support Sharepoint Site

I have a HP Pavillion dv7 with Windows 7, using a wireless router, the wireless adapter is always having problems, some times it can not be found. Hmm just a thought, is there any third party firewall like ZA or Norton on the laptop other than windows firewall? Btw did you apply the same passphrase & ssid for both router as well as on the laptop wireless connection setting? Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi, Please double check the driver of wireless adapter has been installed correctly. Meanwhile, please check if we can see the wireless NIC in device manager when it cannot be found in User Interface.Kim Zhou TechNet Community Support
