Wireless adapter disables after a while
Installed RC build 7100 on my Aspire 5610 laptop. The only persistent problem so far is that after a while on the internet the broadcome wireless adapter becomes disabled. The troubleshoot is unable to enable it. Tried disabling Defender, but that doesnt help. Other suspects are Trend Micro beta for Win7 I guess, or is it something about Win 7? The device is listed as operateing properly yet it also says no driver is installed. When I try to update, I get "best driver already installed" message??????? And in rebooting I get blue screened Seems to happen with Outlook 2007

Did you get an update installed for Microsoft Office around the time the issue started?

I have the same problem with my acer aspire one netbook. One trickI found is instead of "restart", try "shut down", then start from "off". This avoids the blue screen, or the "start windows normally" screen. Starts as if nothing ever happened. Can't figure out why this happens, but asI don't use outlook, I doubt that's it. Also my atheros driver is up to date. This is the only problem I've had with this OS.

Hi Phil,Please run Windows Update and confirm that you are running the latest updates for your wireless network adapters. If you have the latest updates and you are still seeing problems, please reply with (some info might have been already included in your post): --- make/model of the Wi-Fi card. You can get this by typing "netsh wlan sho dr" on the command prompt ----make/model of your Wi-Fi router --- problem symptoms and step by step reproduction steps for problem to happen. It would help greatly if you can write down the exact messages you see Best,YanMicrosoft Corporation
