Wireless WPA2 Personal PSK not being saved
I have Windows 7 running on my Asus F8V with an Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN wireless card, connecting to a Netgear WNR2000. I have WPA2 (personal) PSK security enabled. If I try to connect, it asks for my pre-shared key and allows me to connect. However, even if I check "Connect Automatically" it will never save my password. If I put the computer to sleep, shut it down, or for any reason lose wireless connectivity even for a second, I will have to re-enter my PSK. I have also tried setting up the connection manually (Control Panel->Network and Internet->Network and Sharing Center->Set up a Connection or Network->Manually Connect to a Wireless Network) but get "Access Denied" after putting in all the information. My account is an administrator account on the system.

Many wireless drivers are showing errors in Win7 so far. I think you will need to find a better driver, or wait for a better version of 7.Rating posts helps other users Mark L. Ferguson MS-MVP

I am having this same problem. When you say go the credential manager. What inputs are required? Wireless Name, password?

I just found out how to fix the problem. Go to Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Manage wireless networks -> Right-click on the network you are trying to connect to which requires your login credentials -> Properties -> Security -> Advanced settings -> 802.1X settings -> Check 'Specify authentication mode' -> then select user authentication. Click 'Save credentials'. Click 'ok' until you are back to the 'Manage Wireless Networks'. Now try to reconnect to the wireless network. Windows should now ask you for login credentials and you should be able to successfully connect. The problem seems to be that windows does not want to ask you for login credentials for WPA2. *Bold Faced* I am not sure if this will fix your problem because I don't want to save the credentials on my pc. I hope it works for you though. My solution mainly address the issue with not being able to connect to WPA2 due to having to enter login credentials.
