Theupgraded pclists the printerbut will not print to it and the new install will not even find the printer. When runing the setup software... I get an error that the printer cannot connect to the wireless network, butit is already connected.Questions... Is anyone else having this issue? Has anyone managed to get their v305w to print under Win7?Thanks!!!Mark

I'm having a similiar issue with my Lexmark X6570 printer. Worked fine on vista, but wont work under windows 7. The printer is connected to my wireless network, and the router shows it as indeed connected. When I try to print from windows 7, it just queue's it up for the printer but it never prints. It says it sent it to the printer, but the printer never gets it. i've tried reinstalling the lexmark software a few times with no luck. When i go to configure the port and put in the IP address of the printer it never finds it...

Update. I tried to manually locate the printer by it's IP address and Win7 finds it and says it is setup and ready but then I get the same problem as your Lexmark... It says it's sent to the printer but nothing prints... It just sits in queue. The Dell software is useless as it will not interface with the printer through Win7. I tried shutting off the Windows Firewall, tried running as administrator, and tried running in Vista and XP compatability modes.Printer works great when using the USB cable but nothing on wireless. I'm not sure if this is a driver issue or a security block in Windows 7.(PS I am still voting that MS bring back inetwiz) :)I think this would be a showstopper for me if Win7 has problems with wireless printers.

Guess I'mjoining the crowd. Upgrade to Win 7 killed my Lexmark 6600 series wireless connection. I can see other computers on the network, but not the printer. I also tried manual setup, but no luck. Guess I will wait to see if any fixes before trying Win 7 on any of the other machines and maybe return to Vista on the one.

I'm joining the group as well. I have an hp deskjet 300. The printer is connected to my wireless network. All computers print fine to it. I cannot print to it using my Windows 7 computer. It queues up and never prints. I have tried reinstalling, restarting, and shutting off my security. I'm not sure what to do now, but it is very crippling not being able to print from my laptop. I am constantly having to move files to another computer, switch to that computer, and print from there. If someone finds a fix, please let me know.

Add me to the group as well with an HP Photosmart C4500. It shows the printer, but the print job sits in thequeue and never proceeds. When I plug into the USB it works fine, but no wireless.

Have you folks updated the drivers from Lexmark to the Win7 or Win7 64 bit versions yet? I just purchased a new laptop with Win7 64bit and saw the drivers listed on the Lexmark site. Was just looking to see if I could find info for adding this machine to the Print network with as few conflicts or problems as possible. Just crossing my fingers it looks like. Will post afterwards with my results. This is the page I found the downloads at; http://support.lexmark.com/index?locale=en&segment=DOWNLOAD&startover=y&userlocale=EN_US&question=x6570&productCode=LEXMARK_X6570&page=answers&detectedProductFacet=CMS-CATEGORY_REF.LEXMARK.PRODUCTS.ALLINONE.LEXMARK_X6570&searchid=1260911903710#2

Hi, I'm joining the club. My new Acer aspire (win7 64bit home premium) will not print to my Lexmark X6570 (Wireless network printer). It sends the job to the print queue and it disapears after a few seconds like if sent to the printer but nothing prints (no error message). I installed the Win7 64bit drivers from lexmark without any error message. When I tried to print a test page, same thing: nothing came out of the printer. I brought my laptop to a friend's house and was able to connect and print without problem to his HP printer through his wireless network. I can print on my X6570 printer with my desktop PC running Win 7 Ultimate 32bit without problem. (My desktop PC is wired to my wireless router). My other laptop (Vista home premium) has no issues either with this printer. I also tried to connect the acer laptop to any of the other 3 USB printers attached to other PCs on my home network. It sees the one attached to the desktop PC running WinXP pro (Epson Stylus Photo R200) but cannot print on it. When I try to install it, I get an error message saying that it cannot locate the appropriate driver on the network or windows updates although I installed the epson 64bit drivers on the laptop itself. It cannot see the 2 other printers attached the the desktop PC running Win 7 Ultimate. ( I think this one is due to the IPV6 protocol that win 7 wants to use for homegroups which is not supported by wireless repeater) All PCs except the acer laptop can print on all the printers on the network (Except the winXP one which is to old to use the wireless printer but has no issues with the USB ones on the network.) When I get the chance I will try to remove the win7 64bit and replace it with Win7 32bit to see if it solves the problem. I hope this can give someone with more knowledge than me ideas to help find a solution to the problem

Add me to the group also. I have an Epson Stylus SX515W, which is connected to three computers wirelessly, and has a manual IP address of 192.168.1.200. I have configured each computer to work with this IP address in case the router needs restarting. Usually, it works fine (most often if the printer is switched on before the computer boots into the OS). However, should I turn the printer on when I actually NEED to print the document, even after waiting a few minutes and refreshing the Devices and Printers window numerous times, the printer continues to appear offline, and I cannot print. During this time, using the ping command brings back responses as normal, and going into Start > Network shows the printer being online and ready. However to get it to actually appear online and become usable, I have to either restart the computer, or from the Network window, Right Click > Install each time. Now whilst I know how to do this, other members of the house hold are not as tech savy as I am, and can be quite a nuisance to deal with every few days, even when I'm not at home, and I shouldn't have to reinstall the printer drivers and set the default printing settings every time I want to print something. If you need any more information I am willing to provide it, but I believe I have covered everything and hope that it gets resolved soon.

When, the newly added printer is highlighted, Follow the steps right –click to open Properties. On the Ports tab, click Add Port and follow the wizard to formulate the new port. Put description as Local Port and click OK. To check whether the installation process has been appropriately done, print a test page. Check for the connections between the printer and the computer. Users must ensure appropriate printer drivers related to Windows 7 operating system are installed; else the installation procedure will fail. Since this thread covers a variety of printers, I'll post my solution for the Lexmark. Hopefully a similar workaround exists for the other brands. I'm using Windows 7 Professional 64-bit with a Lexmark X4850 wireless all-in-one. Step 1: Set the print processor open Devices and Printers --> right-click the icon for your printer (Lexmark 4800 Series in my case) click Printer Properties -- > Advanced tab --> Print Processor button The default print processor is winprint and default data type is RAW. This does NOT work via wireless with the Lexmark. Besides winprint, you should see another proprietary print processor on the list, e.g. Lexmark, HP, Dell. Select the print processor from your printer manufacturer. Set the data type to RAW, and hit OK. Step 2: Enable bidirectional support After setting the print processor, click the Ports tab. Highlight the port for your printer and check Enable Bidirectional Support. That fixed my problem with wireless printing. Hope if works for some of you.

Hi, In order to set wireless printer in Windows 7-based PC, you need to position it in a central location away from metal objects. Now, find out if it a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi as most new printers are equipped with either Bluetooth or Wi-Fi technologies. After, that enables the sharing of your printers by informing computer’s operating system about adding printer to its network. Also, install drivers for the same. Hence, in this way you can set up wireless printer on Windows 7-based system. You can also set up other computer systems in the network for using wireless printer.
