Wireless Networks Disappear on Reboot
I have an ASUS laptop with Network Problems. Inventory: Win 7 Home Prem x64; 2GB Memory; Intel U7300 1.3GHz Proc; Intel Wifi 1000 BGN internal network card (Updated Driver in effort to troubleshoot to 13.3.0.24) Clearwire 4G Air Card / Beceem Comm WiMAX Network Adapter (this connects and works fine) Wireless Networks don't show up at all. I can get it fixed (Networks show up and will connect) by deleting the device and reinstalling the card. However on the next reboot the networks don't show again. Nothing obvious in the logs. WLAN auto svc shows to be running and a restart doesn't help. Any suggestions on where to look next to troubleshoot this issue? Jimmy Harris

Hi, First, go to the manufacturer website to get newest driver, you’d best uninstall the driver and install the latest one. If the issue persists, please take the following steps and check if this issue can be resolved: 1. Go to Start, type device manager in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER. 2. Expand Network adapters. 3. Double click the wireless adapter. 4. Click Power Management tab. 5. Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. 6. Click OK. Since it may be related to hardware compatibility. If the latest driver is not Windows 7 compatible, the best way is to contact ASUS. Hope it helps.
