Hi, is it possible to disable the Show Characters tick box on the Wireless settings?

As far as I know this is by design. So, I'm afraid you won’t be able to disable it

That said.....You can only show the key for a given network when you're actually connected to that network. So, if the laptop(?) in question is off-site (read: not actively connected to your WLAN), a ne'er-do-well can't "JustSee" your wireless key. ;)It *might* be possible to do this in Group Policy; however, I haven't yet had a reason to look to see. I might have a Win7/Server 2k8 R2 GP reference sheet somewhere around here......-Chris[If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message. If there is a Policy setting that would be good, or just a setting in registry we could implement. we`d like only network admins to know the keys, and not just regular employees who like to tinker

Hi, The "Show Characters" checkbox is designed for someone who would like to view the value typed in Security Key/Passphrase. I'm afraid that it cannot be disabled since it is by design. Thanks, Novak
