Wireless LAN does not work after loading Vista Update
Have Toshiba Laptop with internal WiFi running Vista Home Premium. Have been running a wireless LAN with no problems for 8 months and then loaded updates from Vista on Sep 10. Since then the LAN does not show when I try to connect to network. When I try to look at Config of the WiFi I get error code 1231. I can see other networks with the WiFi but not mine. Any ideas.

Hi Novice, This behavior occurs if Windows Update tried to update your network adapter driver but the process was not successful. In this case the driver may be corrupt. Please follow the steps below to reinstall the driver. 1. Click Start. In the Start Search box type "devmgmt.msc" and press Enter. 2. Expand "Network Adapters", double-click on the entry of the wireless network device. 3. Click the tab "Driver", click "Uninstall". 4. Click Start. In the Start Search box type "appwiz.cpl" and press Enter. 5. Remove the entries related to the wireless network adapter. 6. Reinstall the driver with your driver CD. Please restart. Is the issue resolved? If it persists, please try to download the latest driver for your network adapter. http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_modSel.jsp Please choose the proper model to search the driver.
