Wireless Connection dropping at random intervals
I am having difficulty remaining connected to my wireless network. If I am connected for a period of no less than a week, I will eventually lose connection for several days. One strange thing that also happens is that when I do try reconnecting to my network it stays connected for 30 seconds to about 1 minute. Another thing I sometimes notice is after getting disconnected and trying to immediately reconnect I will receive an ip address conflict message. I have looked in my router's setup page and have not found any ip address conflicts. I have also allowed the computer's MAC address in the router. There are 3 other computers connected to the network (not simultaneously) and they have no issues. I am also able to connect to a nearby unencrypted network without any issues. This problem has been occuring for around two or three weeks about 2 weeks after I upgraded from Vista. Some additional information: Router: Linksys Wireless N 4 port Wireless Network : WPA Wireless Adapter: Gigabyte GN-WP01GS PCI WLAN Card(Turbo) OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

I have been having the same problem since Oct 23 - I've tried every solution I have come across - obviously every one I've come across is not a solution or I have not found the right one. Seems like a pretty big one and fairly wide spread. Nice one MS.

okay none of the other stuff I've found seems to matter. Drivers, whether Vista, default, nvidia, guru 3d - NOTHING. What does work is disabling all ipv6 in the device manager. Go to the advanced tab in the Network adapters Properties and disable anything that even looks like IPv6 and voila! Just like magic. Magic that took since Oct 22nd to find. Releasing something like this shameful.
