Wireless Connection Problems with Windows 8

I recently downloaded Windows 8 onto my Toshiba Satellite A665 Laptop last night. It was going fine into the next day, when I used Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant to finalize a few things. However, after all is said and done I have one problem. Randomly, every so often, my computer's wireless adapter will just suddenly lose the connection. Sometimes it won't automatically, and I have to do a Troubleshoot and Repair process to get my connection back. It's not a major inconvenience, but I know this isn't normal.

What exactly is the problem regarding my laptop's wireless adapter and Windows 8? If anyone can help me solve this, it would be appreciated.

Hello,

When you loose the connection, can you check your wireless connection light? Is it amber?

Also better to upgrade your bios and have the lastest driver.

Check for the toshiba site for this problem ;

Is there anywhere I can find the possible bios I may need to upgrade to? Also, speaking of bios...I have two undownloaded bios in the Toshiba Service station from when I still had Windows 7:

BIOS version 2.20 for Satellite A660/A665 (PSAW0U/PSAW3U)

BIOS version 2.30 for Satellite A660/A665 (PSAW0U/PSAW3U)

Should I download these two? Or are they still strictly for 7 and I should ignore them?

You can upgrade to teh latest version 2.30. However since it is not for Windows 8, we cannot be assure that it will help to resolve this issue. Can you find the latest wireless adapter driver from the computer manufacturer website?

Since this issue is caused by device driver, I suggest you contact the manufacturer support for more assistances.

got the same problem with a Gateway.  Sorry but it sounds like Windows 8 was pushed out but NONE of the manufacturers have a Windows 8 driver for wireless.

and of course you can't buy a pc/laptop with Windows 7 anymore.  Why should anyone have to go through this with brand new machines?  Ever?

sorry just a little frustrated with MS now.

mine is an Asus,I  disconnect about every 15-20 minutes. I have spent the last week screaming at Cox Comm. It just couldn't be my brand new gaming computer. They have been out twice, I have replaced the modem and the router.  Finally I think it is windows 8 all the other devices work perfectly..what to do, what to do?
