Hi, To eliminate the cause, I suggest you move the problematic machine to another Wireless network and verify whether it can access Wireless network. If it can access other Wireless network, this issue can occur by incorrect Wireless router settings or incorrect encryption. Otherwise, this issue can occur by incorrect system settings. At this stage, I suggest you perform the following steps to troubleshoot the issue. 1. Assure the SSID and passphrase is the same for the router config page. 2. Assure the WLAN AutoConfig service is started on the machine. If there is any error information, please capture and upload it. Thanks, Novak

anoopkg, are you using the dell wi-fi util or windows zero config or whatever they call it?the dell util crashes a good bit.get on the net with your cable and then go here and see if it shows any networks...the site will run a small java app in your browserhttp://tools.meraki.com/stumbler

Adding on the above advise, did you try changing the wireless channel on the router config page as well as what Bubbacguy mention? I'll suggest you to use either the default windows wireless utiltiy or the dell utility but not bothLastly is the wireless range between the router and your laptop miles away and is there any obstruction?

Thanks 4 d reply…Well, in the last two weeks I was able to connect to internet using Wi-Fi two times. But in all other cases it doesn’t show any wireless signal. And I contacted ISP .They said all the modem related stuff is working fine. But the computer is not detecting any signal.@Novak Wu Yeah...My system is detecting wireless signals, when tried on another network. I will check the Auto-Config settings in msconfig. No error messages so far.@Bubbapcguy The system showing that's its using dell wireless utility. About Windows zero config, I will verify it and tell .Also will check the site and update about it.@Daniel Ho Will check and confirm the modem settings again. Yeah...I tried accessing wireless keeping it the same room. Kept the modem at sufficient height. Also there were no accessories like cordless phones etc.

Hi, If the machine always can detect wireless signal in another network, we can conclude that the wireless settings are correct and the issue can occur if the Wireless router is not stable. At this stage, I suggest you upgrade the router firmware for a test. Also, please temporarily uninstall Dell Wireless utility and use the built-in Wireless utility to check the result. Thanks, Novak
