Hi, When joined to domain, you computer may be controlled by group policy set by the domain administrator, it is suggested to contact the administrator and ask if they give proper permission to SharedAccess service. For related information, please visit Certain Administrative Templates from the Windows XP Security Guide may prevent you from starting the Windows Firewall service in Windows XP Service Pack 2. Hi, From your description, it seems whenever the PC reboot, the service will revert to not started in domain. Give this situation, certain software installed on the Windows Vista system might has conflict with Windows Firewall, I would suggest perfrom a clean boot to test the issue. Clean Boot prevents software conflicts by preventing the startup items and non Microsoft services from loading. This way you can safely follow the process of elimination to check which application is causing this behavior. Refer: How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 Note: Ensure that you put your computer back to normal startup mode after completing the troubleshooting steps. Steps are available in the article given above.
