Winhttp Error 12004
Working with Win7 Pro. I have two different applications (BeMonitor from BeITSmart and Malwarebytes) that are getting the same error. 12004 WinHTTP Error when they try to connect to the internet to update signature file and update inventory list. I have turn off the Windows firewall, uninstalled the anti-virus program, and added the programs to the allow list of the windows firewall. Still get this error. These program worked two days ago. I did have a registry update by Win 7 go in today. Does any one have any ideas how to trouble shoot or fix this problem?

If a web monitoring application such as "Web Balance" is also in use, temporarily disable that and try to connect. rongolini

Hi Thanks for your post! This Winhttp Error 12004 means an internal error has occurred. The Internal error happens when a parent container for replicated child objects does not exist in the local directory service. To troubleshoot this error message, please refer to this official document: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/265090 Hope it can help you! This KB article describes how to troubleshoot an "internal error" error message that you may receive during the replication phase of the Active Directory Installation Wizard (Dcpromo). This does not seem to address the inability of Sargie807 to connect to the Internet to upload files.rongolini
