Windows will not connect to wireless networks
Windows does not show any wireless networks in range and when I click "diagnose the problem" it says it is because the Windows Wireless Service is not started. When I go to start it it gives me an error that says that windows cannot solve the problem. So, then I go into the services module and try to start WLAN AutoConfig and I get and "error 1068: The dependency group of service failed to start" same thing happens when I try to start the Wired AutoConfig.Any Ideas?

I have the same problem. Additionally, my auto update service, windows defender services, alone with other services were disabled... Is this some kind of virus? Some one have a similar problem on a different forum and said he solve it by removing a windows update. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=102966 http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=103105 But it did not work for me. Thanks

The solution:1. regedit2. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE]\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\ndisuio3. Change Start to "0x000000002 (2)"4. RestartThat's it!

Thanks You are a lifesaver. Last time this happened i HAD to reinstall my OS. Even succesful system restores performed from safe mode could not fix it! Again- thanksk you!

Good question, it did not work for me. My Vista machine straight out of the box would not connect to wireless networks. Ran a restore, straight out of the box, same problem. If I had a real copy of Vista, and not the trash you get from PC makers I could load this machine my way.

Frustrated_User, how often do you clean up the registry settings? How about malware scans? Do you have UAC turned on?
