Windows will not automatically reconnect to business network mapped drives.
I have a laptop running 32-bit business pro that I was using at work & home. When I would log in at work, it would automatically reestablish my mapped drives on the company's network, even though these require a different ID & password. (I only had to set these up once.) Now I have a desktop unit running 32-bit Windows 7 Professional and every time I start up, I am informed that my network drives have not been reconnected, so I have to log in manually each time, even though I check the box "Remember my credentials." How do I set things up so my mapped drives connect automatically? TIA Tom Filipi

Hi Tom, Please try the following suggestions to check the result. 1. Update your network adapter driver from manufacturer's webiste manually. 2. Open Credentials Manager, under Windows Credentials, Add a Windows credential as follow: Internet or network address: mapped_drive_name User name: domain\user Password: *** Niki Han TechNet Community Support
