Windows updates not installing/downloading
I have been trying to update to SP1 and update ie9, but every time I try to update windows the update will stop downloading or won't install. I have tried manually downloading the update package online, but nothing seems to work. I wos wondering if this could be a connection issue or something else becuase Iwnat to make my OS as secure as possible. Any help would be awesome.

Hi gandreae, Windows Update depends on Background Intelligent Transfer Service to transfer file in the background using idle network bandwidth. Please kindly check if BITS service is Started in Service console. Hope it helps. Thanks and Regards Scorpio_Milo MCTS: Windows Vista | Exchange Server 2007 MCITP: Enterprise Support Technician MCITP: Server & Enterprise Administrator Microsoft Infrastructure Consultant Enterprise Service: Solution Architect Contact me My Blog

In addition, what's the error message you received when the issue happened? How about manually download and install the Internet Explorer 9 and Service Pack 1 from the following link? http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/downloads/ie http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=c3202ce6-4056-4059-8a1b-3a9b77cdfdda&displaylang=en If it fails, please provide us with the error message and the c:\Windows\Windowsupdate.log to us to analyze the issue.
