My windows updates have been failing since August 3. I've tried everything I can think of. I don't know if it is an manufacturer's problem or windows problem. I need help with this as soon as I can. I take classes online and use my computerfor many different purposes.

Hi, I'm guessing that since you posted this in the Windows 7 Forum that you are on Windows 7. Can you please try running the System Update Readiness Tool described here, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821 and post back to the thread with the contents of the %systemroot%\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log (usually C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log) file that it generates. -- Mike Burr

Hi, Did you perform a troubleshoot for Windows Update? Go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting\All Categories and find Windows Update, see what’s the result.
