Windows updates
Very new at this thing Can I safely delete any updates over a year old? Also is there a place where I can search on the last time I used a program? I would like to delete any not used in the last year. Ruth

You would want a very good reason for uninstalling a Windows update (such as an application you use doesn't work as a result of an update and you are 100% sure it's due to the update). By uninstalling updates, you are opening up your computer to security threats, such as malware, viruses, etc. If your computer has been functioning well for the past year, then there is no reason to remove the updates. Regarding uninstalling programs you aren't using, you would have to perform a visual check through the list of programs installed on your computer and if you know you won't use the program again, you can go ahead and uninstall it. You can check what programs are installed on your computer: 1. Click Start and then click Control Panel. 2. Click Programs. 3. Click Programs And Features. 4. Look through the list and if you know you won't use the program in the future, you can click on it and click Uninstall. If you aren't sure what a program is or does, it's best to leave it installed as you could cause issues by uninstalling a program that another program you DO use depends on.
