Windows suddenly not genuine and internet does not work
Hello, I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate. Suddenly one day I got a blank screen that everyone else seemed to have. But my problem is that even my internet does not work. I have to boot on to my UBUNTU to connect to the internet which works perfectly fine. Windows detects my network, when I point my pointer to the network on the taskbar, it says 'Network 2, Internet access', but none of my browsers connect to the internet. I have the windows product key with me, but I have no way of going online and resolving the issue. Please help

Hi,Try system restore first. If no go, boot into Safe mode with networking, disable system restore, launch your anitvirus software to scan the system. To make sure the system is clean, also perform a free online scan, visit http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm to make sure the system is clean. Do you remember if there is any windows update installed? When will you get the windows is not genuine error and blank screen, upon start up or launching certain program?
