Windows start up problem
Hi,I'm running Windows XP pro and Office 2007 pro. A couple of weeks ago I bought an external hard drive to back up files and make space on my hard drive, thinking it would help my pc to run a bit faster.A week ago, I started up as usual and saw the Windows boot up screen, the black screen with the Windows start up bar, prior to actually going into Windows itself. This took a good couple of minutes and has taken longer on some occasions.A friend who works repairing computers came over and examined the pc. He went into the bios settings and told me that on boot up, my pc was searching for the A drive first and that this was causing it to take a long time to start up. Yesterday morning it took even longer! Can anyone advise me?Thanks.2 people need an answerI do too
