Windows software can't connect to the internet
I have formatted 5 times and reinstalled windows 7 everything starts working perfect but after some time windows internet explorer , desktop gadgets, action center , windows live messenger and all programs related to windows can't use the internet (only windows update works apparently) i tried installing different programs each time i formatted but eventually it happened all of a sudden windows programs lost connectivity i thought was a problem of compatibility with some of the programs i had i changed antivirus , checked after installing each program but i could find nothing last time i formatted after around 1 hour windows programs had no internet and i had installed only firefox my wife's laptop has the same programs i have installed and her laptop with windows 7 is working perfect i have internet and is working good in non windows programs like firefox and other programs i have tested any one is having problems with windows programs connectivity ? if so how to solve it ? any suggestions ?

There could be several things affecting your connectivity. Anything from a failing NIC to a bad routing table in your router. However, there are some things you can do to isolate your issue. Load the original OS on your computer to see if you have the same problem. If you dont have access to your original media, download and install Ubuntu (just for a day or so) to see if it is really software related. Heck, you could even download the Windows Server 2008 R2 beta as an alternate OS. J http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/R2.aspx If you get the same results with an alternate operating system, then you have pretty much ruled out any software issues with Windows 7. Assuming you have the same issues, one of the things you can try is going into your routers setup and flushing its routing tableespecially the entries w/your MAC address. If you still have the same issue, then it is time to investigate your hardware. Being each situation is different, it is really hard to troubleshoot and isolate a problem like this over forums. Nonetheless, give those things a try and see what happens.
