Windows security message reports firewall and virus protection turned off
Window 7 security messages report that the Norton Internet security network firewall and virus protection is turned off. When I check Norton Internet security version 17.7.0.12, its network firewall and virus protections are set to on. Is there something wrong with Windows 7 security messages? ctc

Thanks for trying, as I stated in my post this is a window seven security message report not a Norton Internet security warning message. The problem remains.ctc Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, i7 Quad Core 920, 6 GB Ram

Hi, Based on current situation, I suggest you upgrade the virus definition and restart the machine in Safe Mode, and then run a complete scanning. After scanning, please restart the machine in Normal Mode to check the result. If the issue persists, please capture the security alert window and upload it to SkyDrive (www.skydrive.live.com ) and share the link to me. Hi ctctc, I would suggest that you update to latest version available from Norton, provided that you have an active subscription. Updating Your Norton Product to the latest version Norton is Ready for Windows 7
