Windows resets file written by Ubuntu

When I write a file in ubuntu to D:\ , it disappears when I boot into windows.

All file operations are also reverted.

I have disabled fast startup, restarted into linux, shutdown into linux, all to no avail.

Here is the thread on ubuntu forums:http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2273314

Thought people here might know a solution

Thanks in advance

You have landed in wrong forum.  Try to find Ubuntu forum and place your question there. For example http://ubuntuforums.org/

My guess is that the file is there, but you cannot see it. Permission that has been assigned in Linux is not known in Windows operatin systems.

Current forum is aimed at Windows 8.1 operating system and people here are IT professionals in Windows operating systems.

Hi AndreHsu,

Sharing NTFS with Linux question is not supported by Microsoft since it is easy to damage Windows files from Linux and we need system account/permission to modify file under Windows, Id suggest that we post at Ubuntu forum. There you can get more effective suggestion by other experts who familiar with design of Ubuntu. Your understanding is highly appreciated.
