Windows password complexity notification
Hello, Is it possible to edit windows 7 password change notification text. I have set password complexity requirements via GPO (password length, age, etc). If user tries to change password, but typed password does not meet password complexity requirements windows shows warning: "unable to update the password. the value provided for the new password does not meet the length complexity or history requirements of the domain" I would like to change text of this notification with more detailed explanation. So my question is, how to do this.

Hi Yes there is an option to make changes in password complexity requirements via GPO. If you computer is not in domain envirement then perform this given below: 1:Run>secpol.msc>Account policies>Password policy you will see the details there you can click and make changes if you see option are greyed out then 2:Run>gpedit.msc>local security policy>Account Policies>password policy Note: If your computer is in domain envirment and you want to do it locally then you will have to bring your computer in work group you must know the Administrator credentials to take the computer out of domain then it will let you make changes . After performing all this if you still have any issue with the password complexity please update it.
