problem description:

my laptop is windows 8.1 x64

when I installed the Trimble Business Center(a GPS data processing software by Trimble Inc.), Windows Mobile device center 6.1 must be installed prior to it.

Windows Mobile device center 6.1 installation pack is included in Trimble Business Center Installation pack, but when I installed it, the processing was hang, no any response from it.

Then I tried another way, downloaded the Windows Mobile device center 6.1 from Microsoft website, otherwise the same thing happened.

My question:

does the Windows Mobile device center 6.1 is compatible to windows 8.1 x64?

if yes, where can I find the proper installation pack?

if no, how can I repair this problem, since Trimble Business Center need that Windows Mobile device center 6.1 is installed prior to it.

As far as I know, this is compatibility problem. Windows Mobile Center 6.1 is not compatible with Windows 8.1. 

But you can try to run this application with compatibility mode for test. If no use, we do have no idea with this problem.
