When I try to open any new program, or many files, windows installer begins to open adn then tries to load earthlink accelerator which I got rid of a long time ago. It takes several clicks on cancel to continue. It seems many many people have had similar problems and I have found no solution to the problem yet. Hi Manasa PI tried the clean boot suggestion and the problem persists. Windows Installer tries to configure and load Earthllink Accelerator, which I don't have or want, anytime I try to open a new program or website or just about anything. Very time consuming and annoying. Maybe I should try a restore point to before I loaded the update for Norton Antivirus. That's when this problem started.Thank you for your help. Anymore suggestions???Tom H
