Windows freaking 8.1
How do I stop the windows 8.1 from automatically signing into my e-mail account?, Sometimes my family uses this pc and I don't want my e-mail account opened when they want to sign into theirs.

You can change your account to a local account.

Hi,

In addition to what has been suggested, another option is to create another local account (without Live ID connected) for your family member and set password for your personal account.

Create a user account in Windows 8.1

Ok for the family settings, But I really don't want windows to sign into my Hotmail account at all as I have more than one and don't like my e-mail being opened automatically when I never told it to do so, I understand that the system does this to make things more "convenient", But I would rather choose when and if an account is accessed.

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback and understanding, we really appreciate your time and advice on this, However, in present stage, the since Microsoft Live ID is very private account for Windows 8.1, we highly recommend that dont share your account with other users of your computer because other users might be able to access private information by using this account credential. Thanks for your understanding, in the other hand, your advice will be recorded.

Sign out of your mail then clear the browser cookies.  That should force you to log in every time.  Just do not click the "remember" button

This assumes you are using a browser for your mail and not the win 8 mail app (you did not specify)

Microsoft is trying to make it easier for users to log into email, OneDrive, etc. with a single email address. See Microsoft Accounts for additional information and which address to use
In addition to what was suggested previously by S.Sengupta, ZigZag and Deason Wu, there is a service that can be stopped to prevent the automatic signing in with your email address.
1. Right-click the Windows icon in the lower left-hand corner.
2. Click Run.
3. Type msconfig then click OK.
4. Select the Services tab.
5. Click on the Service header in the first column (alphabetizes list).
6. Scroll down to find Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant and uncheck the box.
7. Click on Apply then OK.
8. Click on Restart.

+1.  I forgot all about that service but wouldnt that kill the other users ability to sign in automatically?

Yes Zigzag, but it will also give all of the users security too.

I agree and have incorporated the service in another speech.  Thanks
