The word "download" means to copy a file (perhaps a program file, butnot necessarily) from a server someplace on the internet to your owncomputer. Please do not mix up that word with "install," which meansto load a program on your hard drive in a form from which it can beexecuted You typically install a program from a CD, from a diskette, or fromthe internet. Only in the last case, the internet, is there anydownloading involved, but even there, it's a two-step process: firstyou download it, then you install it. > Did not like going online without protecton. Am very sure problem is windows operating system You won't like hearing this, but in my view McAfee is one of the worstsecurity programs available. Even though you've already spent themoney, you would be better off throwing it away, and downloading oneof the three free ones below. For an anti-virus program, I recommend eSet NOD32, if you are willingto pay for it. If you want a free anti-virus, I recommend one of thefollowing three: AviraAvastMicrosoft Security Essentials You also need anti-spyware software. I recommend that you download andinstall (both freeware) MalwareBytes AntiMalware *and*SuperAntiSpyware. Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP (Windows Desktop Experience) since 2003 Ken Blake
