Windows firewall blocking an allowed connection
Hi, We have windows firewall rules setup by centre group policy which allows access from our datacentre to the client when connected over VPN. We have an issue that the firewall is prompting to unblock an application for an inbound connection even though the rule is in place to accept connections. I have also noticed in the logs that windows firewall dropped connections from an allowed source on some occasions and not on others. The rules apply to both Public and Private profiles with Domain being switched off. Does anyone know why this would be happening ? Client is Windows Vista SP2. Controlled by central GPO and Local policy merge turned off. Default response to block inbound/outbound with rules to allow from specific sources (Our corporate IP range on all protocols)
