Could you be more vague?LOL, yeah the OP wasted one word "Windows".He could post just "Drive not ready". Since it is the WinXP forum we can assume that it is as he posted, "Windows XP displays an “Drive Not ready", that is an annoying message that was deliberately done to annoy me and make my life very miserable.The general answer would be, if you use Windows Explorer or any other application trying to read a drive that does not have media in, it will display this message.
