Iuse Windows 7. I have the same question as everyone else, BUT when I go to Services or even System Configuration & click Start, it still says he can not start the Security Center. Below this, it says, "Error 1079: The account specified for this service is different from the account specified for other services running in the same process". Duuuhhhh! I am a bit beyond beginner and I don't understand all this lingo. There is nothing in the "Help" menu. I don't know what else to do now. Is this a result of a virus or maware? Re: Windows could not start the Security Center service on Local Computer... etc. First of all, I really do not know what the IIS service is. I see that I have it on my computer. I must have misunderstood in the beginning and downloaded it to my computer, thinking this may be a necessary download. Do I need IIS service? or can I get rid of it for regular computing? If it is beneficial for me to have this, then I will try to follow the directions you sent to me. I am so afraid of fouling up my computer. So, you may have to walk me through this. Internet Information Services (IIS) is a service that is used generally to configure websites and FTP sites. In your case, I don't think you will need it. Don't be afraid of fouling up your computer. What I gave to you is a Microsoft article so you don't have to be scared. Proceed like it is mentioned and if it is a IIS problem it will be solved. Best regards.

In Windows 7, the Security Center is replaced by Action Center. If you're still seeing alerts from Security Center, your upgrade to Win7 didn't work, primarily due to having allowed your Kaspersky Internet Security subscription to expire when you were still running Vista.
