Windows could not set the network settings
Hi there I am having a problem with a second WIN7 computer I have added to my network. The network that my internet connection works off has been incorrectly identified as a public network. I have tried resetting it as a home network through the control panel but I receive the above message. I can find no other way to reset the network as a home network. Any help would be appreciated

Hi, Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Ensure that this computer have got valid IP Address and other network settings. You can refer to the computer which works fine. 2. Check the following policies: Computer configuration - Windows Settings - Security Settings - Network List Manger Policies 3. Boot the computer to Safe Mode with networking and check if you can change the profile to Home. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT
