Windows cannot connect to this network.
So I used a unsecure network for a while for my family to use. Then one morning waking up the network suddenly cannot work it says that windows cannot connect to network. Also the other networks are all listed on connect automatically, and I cannot change them when changed then when it disappears from sight it changes back to connect automatically. My network is the only network not on connect automatically and when trying to change it just goes back to being unchecked. When trying to connect to the network it says "Windows cannot connect to the network." please help me with this.I used a Sony Vaio laptop, Windows 7 Home Premium. I did not make any changes that I can remember since I am bad at remembering. The drivers are all up to date also.

Hi, Based on my research, please try the following: 1. Check if other computers can connect to network. 2. Follow the steps in Why cant I connect to a network and see how it works. 3. Check if reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) can help you. 4. Run command ipconfig /all in command prompt and let us know the result. If issue persists, please let us know more information about the unsecure network and provide us screenshots about the issue for further research. Hope this helps. Jeremy Wu TechNet Community Support

Thank you for replying, No none of the computers I have can connect to it. I have already tried the steps in "Why can't I connect to a network," no success. Also already have tried reseting TCP/IP, and no success. Hi, Thanks for the response. However, you mentioned that none of your computers can connect to the unsecure network. Therefore, Im afraid that the issue is more related to the network than your computers. In order to determine the issue, if it is possible, please check the configurations of the unsecure network and check if your computers can connect to other wireless networks. Hope this helps.
