Windows cannot connect to the printer. No printers were found.
I have a Win 7 Pro & Server 08 Enterprise domain. Our printers are installed locally on Server 2 and shared. They are deployed to users using GP. Everything worked fine up until now, the printers are fine on the server, they print no problem. On a client, you can view the printers by typing \\server2\ in the address bar, so the client can "see" the printer. Upon double clicking the printer, which is the same action as adding it in control panel, I get the message "Windows cannot connect to the printer. No printers were found." Please help, our users are not happy!

Hi, First, Please make sure the printer is compatible with Windows 7. Then Please use the “Add printer wizard” to add the printer and install the driver manually. Check the Security and sharing Options on the server. You may refer the following link to add printer. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprohardware/thread/2c055ac8-b79e-4f30-a53d-798e69ed8d2fPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
