Windows activation technologies virus?
I've been getting this for a while, but I called about it and they told me they'd need to reinstall the system again. I'm hoping there is another solution. My windows is Genuine and I'm sure that Windows Essentials messed up my system to start
with Think Point; but I got rid of that from what I can tell.
Also my system volume shadow thing won't function right so I can't back up my files nor do a system restore anymore.
No I don't have the OEM number to reinstall it (but if I get them to do it for me they'll get me a new one.)
If anyone can help me I'd love you forever.

You got rid of what? "Think Point" is a known malware surprising users with fake Microsoft Security Essentials alerts, virus detection messages and advertisement for unknown "malware removal" programs. If you got rid of this rogue software -
hopefully with help from a serious AV program -, bless yourself. If you allowed it to infect your computer more thoroughly (one wrong click is enough), you can't be sure which files are damaged/modified, so a complete reinstall of the system isn't the worst
idea."192 GB ought to be enough for anybody." (from the miniseries "Next Generation's Jokes")
