Windows X P Registry ?
Computer running sooo slow it hurts. A computer "?whiz?!"tried to CLEAN? it up to run faster to no avail I do not pretend to know ANYTHING about computers so I am here. I have run the De fragment and the disc cleanup which has helped a bit but is still very very slow. On start-up you can let the dog out - get your coffee and still wait 5 - 10 min. for Windows to start. I run AVG anti-virus which was purchased from Wall Mart. programs are crashing/freezing/not responding or sit and wait 20 -30 min to change a page. Is there anyone who can help a SIMPLETON with out spending even more money. Eternity grateful. Thank-you

programs not responding -- can not open files -- takes a very long time to change pages etc. I have run the de-fragment and disc clean up programs to no avail. I am running AVG anti-virus and spy bot programs. Is there any one who can suggest a way to speed this anchor up to a sub-human level with out having to spend hard earned cash yet again????? I am not even up to a novice level with computers as I use it about 3-4 times a month. If this is the best Windows has to offer may I suggest everyone go back to a manual computer ( pencil and paper). I'm just sooo frustrated trying to make this thing work properly. P.S. Have all up dates as well. If you can help THANK-YOU so VERY much!!!

Thanks for the reply -- it actually sounds like the info Iv been looking for for the last year or more as something has been real screwy in it for a long time that even a novice like me could see I will follow your advice to a "T" and see if it works. If it does it would put you in the running for Your Holyness at a very minimum I dont know about "God" since I haven't tryed it yet but I thank you in advance for your help and intellect .
