Hi,Windows update is a *total* c-r-a-p. I lost all the day to try to figure out why my computer became unusable after the update. Turning off auto update fix my problem. For some reasons auto update have nothing to update but takes hours playing with my Hard disk for fun and make me mad.Since many years I always try to enable auto update and *each* time is the same ridiculous story- Each time I enable the auto update feature my computer is unusable (extreme harddisk usage) for days until I disable it.- Simple stupid upgrade (like office patch) take even more time than installing windows from scratch- Installing Visual Sudio 2008 SP3 tool me 4 hours this is the most ridiculous thing done in my life. - Why they offer automatic update when using it leave your computer totally unusable.- How the h-e-l-l microsoft thinks I have to 2 days to spent to update their c-r-a-p and 2 other days to fix new problem introduced by update. How the h-e-l-l almost any change or update leads to loosing many hours tryign to uderstand why my computer now is becoming ***totally*** unusable?FYI , no virus, hijack or any other external problem. What should I do?1 person needs an answerI do too

Ensure MSUpdate is configured for Important / Critical Updates only, and not driver updates.I cannot say I've experienced any problems with Important updates for either win or Office (win2k - win7, office97 - Office 2007)
