Windows XP to Windows 7 Transition
I followed the uprgrade process for Windows XP to Windows 7, including creating the Windows.Old directory. Everything worked accept for one fatal problem, I can not access my files that were encrypted by Windows XP. Is there anyway to access the files given I followed the recommended process and created the Windows.Old directory? Thank you.

Hi,You can refer this article to back to Windows XP as Windows.old folder still there. If we can still log on the same user account after back to Windows XP, files should still be accessed. If backup to Windows XP cannot help get the files back, they may fail to be accessed anymore.

Wow, this is a tricky one. I know Zinstall XP7 can take this Windows.Old and restore your old XP environment from that. That'll be virtualized, and it will behave exactly as your old XP. If I understand everything correctly, this would make your encrypted files accessible. Give it a try - and if it doesn't work, ask them for a refund, cause that would mean the XP is not exactly the same :)
