Hello Ms.Debleena;-Thank you for replying to my question.I had the Article ID: 894278 before and searched for spyware but could not find any,all listed procedures has been folowed as recomended.Further I checked for not approved drivers in two hardware devices i where in doubt but they reloaded with trusted Microsoft drivers, so there must bee something elese wrong I am uneable to find it.I am running a very simple setup with two hard driveves one IDE 5200 Rpm and one SATA 7200 rpm all with the same OS as stated to You.I have only the problem in the IDE drive. Both are well checked und healthy.Unfortunately until now I have been uneable to full check against spyware the IDE drive because it is the drive with the problem and it will not check until the end, it restarts several times.Sorry missed some ansvers, Using Norton Antivirus. It seems that the problem araises manly during the use of IE 8, it happened also during the use of Ccleaner, a tool to remove junk files, and lately it happed during the replay of a video.Last not least, it also happens with the PC doing nothing, lets say , on standby it suddently reboots and always the same error message I´ve send you. That is the complete storry.I would like to send you the dump file I have saved, but first I´m uneable to open them and second it is impossible to attach them to this post.May be you can give any further way or hint to get around this problemRegardsNicolaus Sallay

Hi Nicolaus,Let’s follow these methods and check if it helps.Method 1If you have any unnecessary external device connected to the machine, you may unplug them & check if the issue persists.Method 2You may configure the computer in clean boot state and check if the issue persists. It will start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs and helps to eliminate software conflicts. The following link has steps showing how to perform clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353Note: Please ensure that the computer is set to start as usual by following the section ‘Steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state’ from the article: How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" state: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353Hope the information helps. Please post back and let us know.RegardsDebleena SMicrosoft Answers Support EngineerVisit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think.
